Knowing that I am a writer, many people who harbor the same ambition will usually feel free to come up to me and ask me the secret of how to write an article. I have to admit I do feel surprised by the question but this is mainly because I take the idea of article writing for granted, largely. The truth is that article writing is not a terribly difficult endeavor unless you make it that way. This is a two part article that will give you the basics you need to know so that you can learn how to write an article right now!
The first step in writing your article is to come up with a subject about which to write. If you have a general topic area but nothing specific, a good starting point is to ask yourself the basic W questions - Who, What, When and Where. Jot down a quick list of answers and see if one of them gives you an idea for an article. If not, start looking closer at each answer and asking deeper questions about the details of that particular aspect of your subject.
Next it is time to frame out the basic article itself. For this we are going to work as though we're writing a short article but the overall concept for writing a quality article applies no matter what the length. A short article of approximately three paragraphs will generally be about 250 words if written properly. The first paragraph is the opening, the second is the actual informative portion and the final paragraph is the summary or wrap-up.
