In order to be successful online, it is very important that you learn how to attract traffic. There are several methods of attracting traffic, but for me, the best method is article writing.
And this is because the quality of the reader that clicks on to your website is far more superior than those from other methods of traffic generation. In my time, I have used pay-per-click advertising and advertising within e-zines, both of which cost money. However, with article writing, it is relatively cost effective and produces good, quality results.
Here are some techniques you can use to create great articles:
1 - Once you have created your article, it is very important that you proofread and edit it. Practice proofreading your work so that errors do not filter through.
If your work is full of grammatical mistakes or spelling errors, it will not do much for your credibility. And as I have said before, your article is a brilliant opportunity to create credibility and to build trust with your reader.
2 - A very good method of improving your writing skill is if you take daily action to develop your writing. You should read books that of interest to you and try to outline what you have learned once you have closed the book. This will dramatically improve the way you write, your vocabulary and your writing skill.
3 - Keep up to date with what's new in your particular niche or industry. Sign up to the experts online and keep in touch with what they have to say via newsletters and e-mail marketing. This way, you will always be up to date with the latest news in your particular niche.
4 - Your article is not an opportunity to sell. Do not write a sales pitch. Your article should be full of fresh and useful information. When the reader clicks on to your bio and your link found at the bottom of the article, they can then decide whether to buy or seek further information on your products. When they get on to your website, this is where they should find your sales pitch. The purpose of the article is to develop a relationship with your reader and nothing else.
5 - It is important that you develop a style of writing that is comfortable and relaxed. Try writing like you are writing to your favorite sister or brother and that you wish to convey the latest family gossip from home. Write in a relaxed and chatty fashion. This will help your reader to feel comfortable and make them to want to read more of your copy. This, in turn, will encourage them to click on to your website to seek further information.
6 - Try to keep in mind the purpose of your article. You are trying to develop a long-term relationship with your reader so that they become comfortable with your writing and style and they begin to trust and value your copy.
