There is only one secret to attaining a lot of ideas for your articles. And that is to expand your “memory" beyond your brain. While brain can do amazing things, it is not without its limitation. Here are the tips on how you can have all the ideas that you want and keep them.
You may get ideas at anytime during the day. If you just keep it in mind thinking that you will get back to it later or when it's time for your to write article, guess what will happen when you are now ready to use it?
If you answer that you can't remember what's the idea was, you are true. It isn't that something is wrong with you. It happens to all of us. A permanent solution for this is to use an external memory.
Use whatever you like. A simple notepad works like a charm for me. For others, a Moleskin notebook adds some oomphs. The best system is the one that you use and that works for you. Even if you write it at the back of the envelope, a million dollar idea is worth as much.
Capturing your ideas is the answer. You need to make it an external system that you can trust, which brings us to the second point.
Make it a habit to write down the ideas. If you write an idea but fail to do so next time, and when you can't find the idea anywhere in the notebook, you will not trust the system anymore and the brain takes the control back.
Ideas collection is a habit. Make it on your top priority for the next 30 days and see how it will change your life. One final thing, you also need to process the system every once in a while so you know what's in it.
Turning ideas into actionable items on your todo list, for example, is just an example of getting things done.
