Article marketing is a long term strategy for promoting your business. For that reason many article authors think that they should only write articles that are evergreen. Articles should not contain timely information because chances are when readers find them, the content may already be obsolete and not useful.
Fortunately with a bit of creativity, you can turn timely information into evergreen content. You'll find one way to do that in this article.
First, where can you get timely ideas? Use the online research tools. Search engines allow you to search for any kind of information. For example, by searching “holiday calendar" you will get a list of holidays in several countries.
Pick one of the holidays and expand your research. You may want to search the history of that holiday or other related stories.
After you get those ideas, you could use the stories and relate them to your topic for that season or celebration.
They said history tends to repeat itself. What lessons do you learn from last years? How could it apply throughout the years?
Holiday related articles tend to get a lot of views during that time. However, by tying in the season with evergreen content, the idea may come evergreen itself. In this case, it serves nothing but as a point to deliver the long-lasting message.
You may put the name of the holiday in the title, for which other people may not click on it too often after that. But remember, articles are content that will always be there for people to find. Next year, people may find those holiday articles again and still the evergreen contents make them relevant long after the articles were written.
