Writing is only half the job for an effective article marketing campaign. The other half is submitting them to good article directories. Article marketing provides you with a number of benefits; it can bring traffic to your site, generate valuable backlinks to attract the search engines, and produce profits. But in order to accomplish these goals, you need to submit your articles to quality submission sites.
First of all, make sure that the sites you are submitting to are getting traffic. New directories spring up everyday and these new sites get very little traffic at first. I am frequently solicited by start-up directories asking me to submit articles to their sites. By submitting to sites that get plenty of traffic, you can be assured that people will see your articles and click on your links.
It is also important to check the Google Page Rank of the sites you submit to. Submit only to those sites that have a higher Page Rank than your own web site. This ensures that the links you get will benefit you. You get very little benefit by submitting to sites with very low PR.
If you are just introducing a new web site, you should submit articles to as many directories as possible. Each article should contain a link back to your site. The search engines see the large number of links pointing to your site and reward it accordingly.
In order to maximize the number of links that you get with your article marketing campaign, submit your articles to at least 150 sites. This is most easily done using some sort of article submission software. Getting your article out to 150 directories manually could take you 6 to 8 hours. Using submission software can reduce this time down to just an hour or two.
