Articles have enormous potential for marketing and promotion. People actually want them, which is the exact opposite of the feeling they have developed for advertisements. The problem is, how could you get started and be consistent in doing it right from the start?
Well, if you think that article marketing can be done with one or two articles or with very little time to invest, I'm afraid I have to disappoint you.
There is no such thing as an overnight result in article marketing. Your effort must be consistent. And it really helps if you get started now.
Plan it forward before writing your first article. I don't mean that you should over analyze the whole plan before you start writing. By all means allocate some time for planning but taking action is what brings the plan into life. One thing that I think you should consider when planning is to allocate some time during the day to write articles.
If you can spare some time, perhaps you should begin seeking help and outsource the writing part of it to professional writers.
Make this high priority that you can't just call it a day before getting it done. This certainly needs discipline, especially if you are just starting out and the results haven't yet come.
Once you have the first draft of the plan done, it's also the right time to get the ball rolling. A plan will change, and it can change as often as you like if necessary. You can make a perfect plan, you may get off track every so often but as long as you make the effort to go back to the right track, you are getting closer to the goal every time.
So have a plan in place. Get started as soon as possible and do what it takes to be consistent with it. Give article marketing at least 3 months. Prove to yourself that writing and marketing with articles can pay in terms of getting qualified traffic, prospects and customers back to your site.
