Article Submission - How Often Should You Submit?

Every once in a while people ask about the best frequency to post an article to article directories. Should they post once a week? Or is it every other day? Could they post 30 articles a day and still do it effectively?

There are three things that immediately come to my mind with such a question. The first one is quality. My main concern with too many articles posted at the same day is quality. If you realize how important it is and if you still can write 30 articles per day, that's excellent.

For other marketers, they hire other writers to produce articles for them, so this may be an indication of someone who knows what they are doing.

The next thing is the effectiveness of the frequency of submission. You can get 30 articles posted at once or one every day for the next 30 days. The former certainly lets you do it faster because you can just repeat the whole process to submit another article faster than if you have to start with a blank browser.

In my experience, you can submit a bunch of articles at once without degrading the amount of traffic that you get. People choose the articles they want to read. If your article is the first in the listing, they may read the second one that has more interesting title and can relate to them better. As a sidenote, there will always to impulsive browsers who click on the first item immediately.

If your articles are also in the second, third and fourth positions, your chance of getting clicks are still good. Articles are long-term marketing strategy. They all will be there, available for searches long after you posted them.

The third thing that comes to my mind is consistency. If you're posting 30 articles in one day and for the next three months you have nothing at all, that isn't going to give you consistent results. Although quantity matters, quality and consistency are also important. Being consistent is what gives you leverage for the long run.

Keep your name out there consistently. Worry less on other issues. Get writing!
