Many women today are having cosmetic procedures, but not everyone will be emotionally prepared. In this article review some of the questions you might ask yourself before actually having a cosmetic procedure.

There are many procedures that can change the shape and look of a face. These range from surgery to laser peeling and Botox injections. A full facelift primarily eliminates wrinkles, making the cheeks, chin and neck look younger.

These procedures are usually done under local anesthesia, but can also be done under general anesthesia.
The recovery time is usually minimal. Patients usually can leave the clinic or hospital on the same day with the advice to rest for a few days. You will also need more time before appearing in public as swelling and bruising may be a problem for two or three weeks after the procedure. The skin is more sensitive to sun and cold for several months and the scars may take up to one year to heal.
More often than not, a repeat operation is needed after 10 or 15 years.
