Al Khaleej Hotel in Dubai

Visitors: 189

If you ever get the chance to visit Dubai and are unsure where to stay, the Al Khaleej Hotel is highly recommended as it offers a realistic look at life in the Middle East. The hotel is comfortable, clean and very straightforward. Part of its charm is that the hotel is not too sophisticated or complex.

Even though the hotel is located in a very busy area in Dubai, the rooms are remarkably quiet. You can hardly hear the rustling and bustling from the traffic below. Located right in the heart of Dubai's business district, The Al Khaleej makes an ideal location for people who there for business or pleasure. A few blocks away from the hotel, there are many interesting places to see and visit if you are a tourist.

For food, the Al Khaleej is located close to restaurants that offer great food at very reasonable prices. You can choose from a variety of food from Asian, Western as well as the local delicacies. Besides that, the hotel is located close to a public transportation station that has buses and water taxis. If you are tourist, you should opt for the water taxi as it offers you a view of the city landscape like no other.

When preparing to visit this part of the world, there are certain things that you need to take note of. Social norms and customs should always be observed and respected. For example, crossing your legs is a no go sometimes as doing it in front of someone of high importance is considered disrespectful and should not be done. Another social norm is that the right hand is clean and the left hand is dirty, so, when accepting food or drink, do it with your right hand. With a little reservation and self control you should be just fine.

Being a very modern city, Dubai is liberal compared to other cities in this part of the globe. However, this largely depends on the area you are visiting. It is advisable to wear clothing that does not reveal too much skin. Shorts are fine for the beach but not for many other places. If you plan to visit the beach, do not forget your sun block lotion. This product is not popular around this region and is very expensive. Always keep your sunglasses with you as the sun is very glaring and intense during the day.

The Al Khaleej Hotel is straightforward hotel with no frills but it is clean, conducive and located in a very strategic location. Unless you are looking for a lavish and sophisticated 5-star hotel, this hotel will ensure you have a relaxing stay at an affordable price.
