The best destination to explore during your European tours is London. The ancient stone architecture juxtaposes the modern skyscrapers, thus making the city skyline a unique blend of old and new. The city is thriving through centuries on both sides of the River Thames where the Millennium Bridge connects these banks magically.

Millennium Bridge is a suspension steel bridge built on the River Thames. It connects the main city of London, that is on the northern side and the southern promenade, which is bustling with wanderers. The northern side is dotted with traditional and old architecture while the southern side shows the modern side of the city. One would notice the spectacular views of the majestic St. Paul’s Cathedral on one side and the stunning architecture of the Tate Modern on the other.

Tate modern art gallery displays some of the finest collections of the contemporary art works. Under this dynamic roof one would also find Picasso, Rothko, Dali and Matisse. If you want, you can rent an audio guide through which you can better understand these great works of art in the artist's own voice.

The busy Jubilee Promenade at the southern bank is sprinkled with almost 20 pubs that are opened in the old buildings. There one would enjoy the traditional English ale and get the chance to meet with other tourists and locals. That would be the best leisure activity in all your European tours. Moreover, there are chic restaurants, modern buildings and other cultural centers.

The Jubilee Promenade offers the splendid views of the Palace of Westminster, which is now become the Houses of Parliament and is famously known as the heart of British politics. The palace looks striking when glitters at night along with the stunning Big Ben. Friends and couples enjoy fabulous evening at the bank of this mighty river as various activities are going on throughout the day.

Among other iconic sites, the Romanesque Tower of London stands majestically on the northern bank of the mighty river. It is a grand castle complex built with white stones and houses great treasures including the royal regalia. There is a magnificent Chapel of St. John built in a typical Norman style having big arches and thick walls. It is one of the oldest chapels in the country.

Another amazing experience is a cruise tour of the River Thames. As both its banks are dotted with ancient and contemporary architecture. Crossing the Millennium Bridge and then the Tower Bridge London form below is very pleasurable.

Tower Bridge London is another suspension bridge crossing the River Thames and is a symbol of England. Painted in red, blue and white, its glass floor gives magnificent views of the city and its busy life. And if you want to see the panoramic views of London from the highest point then take a breathtaking flying ride of the London Eye.

London Eye is a giant ferris wheel erected at the southern bank of River Thames. There are various capsules with having transparent walls, which offer splendid views of the city. The wheels complete its rotation in 30 minutes and you would capture the magnificent city stretched on the banks of the River Thames.
