Visitors: 536

If you're taking a trip to Vegas, you should visit the Grand Canyon too. A Grand Canyon airplane saves you the trouble of a 270-mile trip. Going to the canyon by air is the best option because it gives you a lot more time to enjoy the canyon that you would otherwise spend in a car or bus if you go by land.

Flights Everyday

Air tours for the Grand Canyon leave at least three times a day. The flight to the canyon is scenic too, and you'll get to see scenic Lake Mead from the air. You will be thrilled by the massive Hoover Dam, which rises over 725 feet over the Colorado River. You'll also see portions of the Grand Canyon as you make your flight to Tusayan where the Grand Canyon National Park Airport is located. If you can sit on the left side of the airplane, you'll get the best views.

There are different tour options to consider. An affordable tour package is the basic air tour that comes with a 2 1/2 hour bus tour through the National Park. You'll see all the main highlights on the bus tour, but another option is to tour by Jeep.

The Jeep tour allows you to go off road, and you'll get about 2.5 hours to explore. You'll actually see more on the Jeep tour and the experience is fun.

When you pick out your air tour, you should consider the helicopter option that flies over to the remote North Rim and then circles back. The helicopter flies right over the deepest part of the canyon known as the Dragoon Corridor. Although this tour is a little expensive, it is well worth the cost. You'll get fantastic aerial views of the canyon and an up close ground tour too.

Sightseeing Planes

You get your choice of two different aircraft on these tours. The most common planes used are the de-Havilland Twin Otter and the Beechcraft 1900D. Both planes come with different perks, so you get to pick the best fit for you.

The wings on the de-Havilland Twin Otter planes are on top so they won't block your view, and the windows are large and idea for sightseeing. The cabin is roomy but not every seat is a window seat since there are two seat rows on one side and one seat rows on the other. You can listen to a recorded commentary in ten languages such as German, Japanese, French, and Chinese.

The Beechcraft airplane looks more like a traditional jet and it has wings positioned in the middle of the plane. This plane also has comfortable seating and as an added bones, every seat is a window seat. Tours on Beechcraft planes are more expensive, but worth it if you want to guarantee a window seat and great view.

Pricing on these tours is all-inclusive for convenience. All surcharges, fees, Park entry tickets and taxes are taken care of beforehand. Your pilot will act as your guide during the tour and as an added bonus, you'll also get free pick up and drop off service to your Las Vegas hotel. These air tours truly come with everything you need.

Luxury Awaits You

There is no better way to see this wonder of the world than by air. When you take an air tour, you won't have to waste time driving to the Grand Canyon, plus, you'll tour in comfort and you're sure to see all the highlights. Don't waste half your day traveling 11 hours round trip, just to get to the Canyon, when you could spend just an hour enjoying views along your way in a Grand Canyon airplane. Be sure to book your tour in advance, because they sell out fast, and if you buy your tour online, you'll even be able to save some money.
