Promising Trends of Philippine Tourism The Philippines is expecting more tourists in the years to come. The tourism department of the country has prepared a roadmap for the year 2012 and beyond. Many events are scheduled to be held this year at certain locations in the country. Chief among these are Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart and the Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank. The hospitality industry is gearing up to provide additional hotel rooms and other accommodation facilities to the visiting delegates, guests, and tourists. The airlines are also expecting more travelers this year.

The tourism industry has already registered a significant growth in the number of international tourists visiting Manila and other locations, such as Cebu and Boracay Island. It seems that the world is now realizing the tourism potential of the country. The islands of the Philippines offer excellent scenic views everywhere no matter where you go. The Philippines can emerge as the next tourist hotspot in the Far East. It has good potential to attract tourists from Europe and the USA. However, the tourist-related infrastructure and amenities need to be improved. The government has realized the pitfalls and is now taking steps to improve the facilities here. Investors are being encouraged to pump more money to bolster the efforts of entrepreneurs and businessmen. It is hoped that all these activities will finally lead to the emergence of a better and tourist-friendly Manila. There are many places to visit in the Philippines. The country offers enough scope for every kind of tourists. There are historical sites, shopping complexes, and scenic spots all around the country. Cheap flights to Manila are available across several airlines and there is also no dearth of cheap accommodation in and around Metro Manila.

Other cities are also being developed to cater to the requirements of international tourists. Cebu is the best example of such cities. The city has a dedicated airport with regular domestic and even international flights connecting it to major locations in the country. Hotels and family resorts facilitated with world-class facilities have sprung up everywhere.
