If you have been to Mexico once, chances are that you can’t wait to return, and are looking forward eagerly to your next vacation. This country has such allure that it can mesmerize and entice you like no other vacation spot. People who have never been there can only imagine what it is that makes this area so fascinating, and have only the word of their friends to convince them. The only way to find out is to travel to Mexico to experience firsthand what it is that makes this location so popular among tourists. It’s not just another vacation destination, but rather a special location with a uniqueness all its own.

There are tons of things to do and experience in this country that is not so far away. You can visit for days and still not be able to learn all there is to know about the Mexican culture and lifestyle, both past and present. Not only extremely modern in many areas, but many ancient traditions are still carried out in others. A mix of the past and the present is one of the things that make Mexico such an interesting place to visit. While most of the citizens are completely up to date, there are others who strictly adhere to the old world way of doing things, and insist on keeping traditional ways alive. Smaller villages and out of the way communities are where you might find these practice being carried out.

On the other side of the coin, Mexico offers an extremely large number of activities designed to engage people of all ages. Since the weather is so pleasant, roughly seventy five percent of these adventures take place outdoor under the sunny skies. Water temperatures are very comfortable, and a great many tourists spend their time swimming, diving, surfing, snorkeling, water skiing or just frolicking in the surf. Others choose to spend their time lying on the warm, sandy beach soaking up the rays and watching the other visitors. Even doing nothing can be totally relaxing for both the body and the mind.

Fishing is one very popular sport in Mexico. In a place like Cabo San Lucas, people come in droves to try their hand at sport fishing in the Marlin capital of the world. To men and women alike, nothing beats the thrill attained when you reel in the “big” one. It’s something to remember and talk about for years. Fishing charters are available to take you deep into the areas of the ocean where you can increase your chances of hitting it big. For some avid fishermen, this is the only way to spend their Mexican vacation , and they just can’t seem to get enough of it.

Others come to Mexico to spend their time golfing on any one of several top notch courses, participate in world class tournaments, or even just putt(er) the day away. You may also be quite surprised to know that many of these courses have been designed by world famous golfers, and you may even catch a glimpse of one of them playing a relaxing round or two. You just never know who you are going to see in sunny Mexico, so carry your camera so you don’t miss out on anything! That famous golfer may be right next to you.

Stroll the streets of the smaller villages and stop and browse in the quaint shops along the way. You will see many interesting pieces of merchandise offered for sale, and much of it is hand made by the locals. The prices are quite reasonable, but don’t be afraid to dicker with the shopkeepers. They love the give and take and the camaraderie that develops. You will be able to pick up several exquisite souvenirs for a song to take home with you, all unique and one-of-a-kind. While you are out touring the town, stop for a bite to eat at one of the several outdoor cafes along the way. Sit, nibble, and watch the easy flow of the laid back Mexican lifestyle. There truly is something almost magical about Mexico, and once you have the opportunity to experience it for yourself, you will no longer need to wonder what it is that draws people back. You will be one of those people.
