Planning a family holiday can be extremely difficult, particularly if you have lots of different age groups to cater for. Apart from the adults there might be younger children as well as older ones whose ages reach into double figures.
The difficulty of planning a holiday of this type is undoubtedly one of the reasons many families choose to visit Disneyland in California. There cannot be many people who don’t enjoy a taste of Disney magic, and there are lots of other attractions to visit in the area as well so there is always a lot worth doing.
It might seem hard to believe but the park has now been open for longer than half a century. More than 500 million people have had the Disney experience in the park over the years, and with delights such as Main Street USA and Fantasyland to visit, there is a lot here to help keep the whole family entertained.
In total there are now eight lands in the Disneyland Park in California. Every single inch of the park has its own attractions, rides and delights to be discovered and explored. For those members of the family who are old enough to enjoy the big rides, there is the famous Thunder Mountain Railroad. Elsewhere you can climb aboard a Matterhorn Bobsled and enjoy a thrilling ride down from the summit of a mountain. You might even see the Abominable Snowman on your way down.
You can also take the whole family on a tour of the park if you wish. Several tours are available, including one that tells you a lot about Walt Disney himself and how his vision led to the park you are visiting. There is another park in California too that you won’t want to miss.
The Disney California Adventure Park packs plenty more into your experience if you want to visit this as well. It has plenty of rides and attractions of its own to delight and thrill the whole family. Try the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which drops you down a lift shaft among other things. Elsewhere there is a Bountiful Valley Farm which aims to delight the younger members of the family as well.
You can also take your family on a great trip around the whole of the Disneyland Park by hopping on board the Disneyland Railroad. This will take you round the entire complex and it is well worth the trip.
With so many delightful things to see and do, all that remains is to make sure you book some accommodation to suit you while you are in town. There are lots of hotels near Disneyland you can check into, so you shouldn’t have any difficulty making plans to spend a week or two immersed in Disney magic.
