Located in Singapore’s shopping hotspot of Orchard Road the Centerpoint shopping center is a popular shopping mall that is frequented by locals and tourists alike. The name of the malls was changed from the Centerpoint Shopping Center to the shorter and much catchier The Centerpoint. Exemplifying the mall’s location at the center of Singapore’s lively shopping district.

The Centerpoint is actually a part of the old guard of Singapore’s shopping malls, having being opened in 1983. Despite this, the shopping mall has kept up with the times periodically changing its interior, remodeling and rebranding itself which has ensured that this mall has always been at the cutting edge of cool. In keeping with Singapore’s reputation as being a shopper’s paradise; The Centerpoint has everything a shopper would ever want to buy, from expensive porcelain sets to a designer business suit.

The six floors of this shopping center feature a variety of different items and shopping outlets. Anchor tenants of the mall include world renowned brands such as Robinsons, Marks and Spencer and the Dairy Farm Group which operates a 7 Eleven and Cold Storage outlets at the mall. Designer clothes retailers such as Gap and Espirit also have outlets here. A number of other stores specializing in musical instruments, electronics, furniture, clothing, historical artifacts and antiques can also be found here. The top most sixth floor consists of a large spacious car park and a few educational establishments while the basement and the remaining five floors are solely dedicated to food and beverage and retail outlets.

Branded as a one stop shopping mall many locals are seen shopping here particularly on weekends when the mall is packed with families, students and visiting tourists. The popularity of The Centrepoint can partly be attributed to its advantageous location. Orchard Road has always been viewed as the place to shop in Singapore and is a regular tourists draw. Also located nearby is a serviced apartment in Singapore that is a great accommodation option for long stay travelers.
