Get Your Adrenaline Rush Rent an Exotic Car

Visitors: 265

Are you looking for a car rental for your next vacation? Why not look for something a bit more exciting than your usual four-dour boring sedan? How about a Porsche or a Hummer? You might be thinking that it's impossible to rent such a luxury vehicle but that's not so. Here are some reasons why you should rent an exotic car on your next vacation and how to go about doing so.

Why Rent an Exotic Car?

Exotic cars are sleek and eye-catching. Most exotic car rentals are sports cars so not only are they high performance cars but they're flashy. You can impress your friends and be the envy of others on the road. You can also go for something less sporty and more luxurious if you want to impress a date and ride in comfort.

Renting an exotic car can be your dream come true. Many of the exotic rental cars are probably out of your price range to buy so renting one will give you the opportunity to drive one. It will feel like your 15 minutes of fame.

The Downside of Exotic Car Rental

No doubt renting an exotic car is exciting and will give you an adrenaline rush but there are some downsides to keep in mind before reserving one. First off, these types of rentals are nowhere near the price of other rentals; this will be a splurge that you'll have to budget for. Not only will the base rental rate be more but the insurance will be higher since the car is worth more and there is more chance for theft. Exotic car rental agencies also know that you'll be driving fast so they'll make sure you're completely insured for the full value of the car.

Driving restrictions are also generally different than regular rental cars . You probably won't be able to take it out of the state and there will most likely be a mileage restriction. Some won't rent to customers under a certain age; usually 25 or older.

Exotic Car Rental Locations

There are usually exotic car rental offices in largely touristed cities such as Las Vegas and Miami. Many are located near the airport but some are located in town or near the tourist center. They usually offer a drop off and pick up service which makes it more convenient for a short rental.

A Practical Option

If spending the money and dealing with the strict contract on an exotic car rental is just too much then consider another option. Many of the domestic car rental chains such as Avis and Hertz have specialty cars in large cities. While it won't be a Hummer or Porsche, it will be a luxury or sports car. It won't turn as many heads but you'll be able to save some cash for the rest of your trip and still have a nice car.
