Are there really any affordable all inclusive travel deals out there? With the economy in the toilet it's no wonder many people are kissing their dreams of all inclusive travel goodbye this winter. But we'll show you that taking your dream vacation is not only easier but cheaper than you think if you use these ingenious little tricks.

Stay at Smaller Hotels

If all you want from an all inclusive vacation is some good food, a few drinks and spending time at the beach try looking for all inclusive travel deals from some of the smaller and “cozier" hotels. Remember, whether you're participating in them or not, most of those “free" extras are being included in the price of your vacation. If you plan on relaxing on the beach for most of your vacation opt for a more modest package with a much lower price tag.

Travel in the Off Season

In some instances booking your vacation a couple of weeks earlier or later than a hotel's peak time can equate to huge savings for you. All inclusive travel deals can be hundreds of dollars cheaper when you avoid popular times such as spring break, Christmas vacation or other such travel times. Check and compare prices from week to week and you'll likely be surprised at how much you can save.

Some Days are Cheaper Than Others

Just as the time of year can make a difference as to how much your all inclusive package will cost you so can something as simple as your departure date. Traditionally weekday departures are cheaper than weekend ones.

Save Big on Kid's Deals

If you'll be traveling with younger children look for hotels that offer a program that lets children stay and eat for free. The price of a standard all inclusive travel deal is going to include the costs of food and alcohol for an adult. Why should you pay those prices for children who eat less and won't be drinking? This is a great way to slash your vacation costs significantly.

Cut Costs with Online Auctions

There are very reputable online travel companies that let you bid on vacation packages. If you only have a certain amount of money to spend on your trip have a look at the auctions sites to see what kind of deal you can swing for yourself. If you combine this method with travelling off season and staying at a smaller hotel your savings can be quite substantial.

Don't Blow the Budget on a Big Room

While having a big, luxurious suite may seem like a grand idea the reality is you spend very little time in your room while on vacation. Typically most of your day will be spent sight seeing, at the beach or pool or participating in other activities. By sticking with a standard room with less of a view you'll find much more affordable all inclusive travel deals and can save your money for more worthwhile things such as extra activities.

Consider a Limited All Inclusive Package

When most of us think of all inclusive packages the terms “all you can eat and drink" come to mind. But what if you or some of the people you're travelling with don't eat or drink much? You can cut costs by looking for all inclusive travel deals with a limited all inclusive program which may limit the amount or type of alcohol served and not include snacks between meals. This is perfect for teenagers who will be charged an adult price but won't be drinking alcohol or senior citizens who eat smaller meals and drink little to no alcohol.

As you can see with a little extra planning and research it's easy to cut costs on your vacations and keep them well within a budget. Using the tips outlined above can help you find cheap all inclusive travel deals and pay significantly less for a great all inclusive holiday.
