Croatia and Airport Taxis

Visitors: 166

With the holiday season fast approaching, one can see that Croatia, one of the main summer vacation destinations in Europe, is on the final stages of preparations to welcome the travelling lot. Final touches are being made to hotels, apartments, holiday yachts and other similar vacation homes so as to welcome the guests in all its glory. Split airport is the usual starting point of travellers visiting Croatia. In last year itself, more than 13 million people passed through Split airport, otherwise known as airport Resnik. This is a figure that is considerable enough when you find that the Croatian population stands at a mere 4.5 million.

People who land at airports usually do not throng the place for a long period of time. These travellers would be on the look out for the cheapest and simplest way to get themselves transferred from the airport to their final destinations. A great majority of the travellers who arrive at Croatia’s Split airport will head towards Split port to take a trip towards one of the many beautiful Croatian islands. Or else, they would travel towards some of the popular vacation resorts in the country. Some of the most popular holiday resorts and hotels are Trogir, Rogoznica, Makarska Riviera (Makarska, Baska Voda, Brela, Tucepi) and Dubrovnik. Apart from these places, Peljesac peninsula and island Korcula are also very well-liked by the travellers looking for good vacation spots.

Of the three ways to reach these popular places from Airport Split, Split airport taxi transfer services are preferred by many. One may also take a bus, but taking a bus in summer, and that too, when travelling with one’s family, and with all the pieces of luggage one has, it can prove to be cumbersome. If you are on vacation in one of the larger cities located in the Adriatic coast, car rentals would be the most appropriate. For instance, if you reserve a hotel room in Sibenik, then it would be smart on your part to have a car with you. This way, you can go to the beaches that are not very crowded and those that are situated outside the city limits. You may also pay short visits to the smaller towns nearby where the pleasure derived is much more. Since people are on the look out for small and beautiful beaches which give them the opportunity to relax and enjoy quality time with friends or family, trips to these small towns would be ideal.

By renting a car, you get to have more mobility. Also, you can opt to stay at or be at a different beach or some popular vacation place every day in the period of your vacation stay. You may also go explore some of the nearby landmarks and places of interest. Croatian roads tend to be a little bit crowded in summer, and driving the car every day on one’s own is not at all very relaxing and recommended. So, one would suggest making use of Split airport transfer service.
