The local authorities of South Morocco are planning to finish the project of constructing the second Hollywood till the year 2016. Though, for implementing this idea they need 180 million Euros. And if the needed amount is allocated, the governors of African kingdom will achieve the goals they have set.
Meanwhile, the annual income of the state received from the film industry constitutes 27.3 million Euros. By that, the Morocco authorities are planning to appropriate about 4 million Euros for the development of this field, though the number of movies shot per year will be four times bigger. The governors are sure that all their focused actions will contribute to the attention of the popular screen masters and the expenses for constructing of the new gold vain will be soon paid off.
In their judgments they base upon the fact that Morocco's beauties have for a long time attracted the film makers from all over the world. Here David Linn, Ridley Scott and Martin Scorsese had shot the movies that have already granted the status of legendary ones. The directors have captured the amazing sights of African kingdom in the films “Lawrence of Arabia", “Body of Lies" and “The Last Temptation of Christ".
The project's creators and ideologists are planning to materialize the Ouarzazate studio center based upon the model of the Hollywood movie enterprise “Warner Bros Studios", which supplies all the stages of movie making. Thanks to the installation of the newest technical equipment, the Morocco complex would be able to offer the widest range of services: from pre-production to the final stage of production. Furthermore, there will be a special pricing and discount system for companies shooting the film in the country's historical places initiated in the Ouarzazate studio center.
Tourism and cinema are linked quite tight. Actually, everything that has become popular on the screen - at the same moment becomes popular also in the real life. In the last time tours to the places where the most famous movies have been shot are so popular that the locals are building quite serious touristic businesses, just sitting on a “gold mine".
