It gets its name from the large rock basins called “huecos" that have supplied water to the area for hundreds of years. Making it interesting for climbers is the unique wildlife that is attracted to the huecos and the pictographs that are scattered throughout the park. The pictographs have been painted by the native inhabitants over the last 10,000 years. In fact there are over 6.5 miles worth of trails that you can navigate. you can also camp at the site. There are 20 back in sites and there are also showers available to campers.
