Maryland is a beautiful state that is most famous for their seafood. There are various events that take place in the month of February that celebrates Valentines as well as their seashore heritage. On Thursday evenings, the Kyma Restaurant features their Thursday Tasting Series. These are fun and informative events that feature a beverage expert guide to help you distinguish the nuances of each wine. In Columbia you will enjoy the Irish Evening of Music and Poetry. This is an annual event that hosts Irish poets, local Irish musicians, and members of the Narrowbacks and Celtic Thunder and step dancers. The event is held in the Jim Rouse Theatre at the Wilde Lake High School. For Valentine’s Day, enjoy a Valentine Dinner Cruise in Baltimore City. The event features a buffet, beer, wine and soft drinks. They also have a DJ for dancing on this three-hour cruise.

The Great Tastes Culinary Event is an annual event that focuses on food and wine sampling. There are also celebrity chef appearances and cooking classes. Held in Baltimore City at the Baltimore Convention Center. The Ladew Topiary Gardens in Monkton feature a session of maple syrup tasting using the trees on the Ladew’s nature walk. Visit Historic Ellicott City for the Mardi Gras MagniFique. This event is held at the Tersiguel’s French Country Restaurant and is a charity event that benefits the local historic preservation.

In Baltimore City you will enjoy the Annual Baltimore Fine Craft Show. The event is the largest juried, indoor craft show in the country with over 700 crafts artists. The event is held in the Baltimore Convention Center. The Annual Maryland State Police Deep Creek Dunk is held in Deep Creek Lake. The event features hundreds of dunkers as they brave the lake for the athletes of the Special Olympics in Maryland.

The Rock Hall Expo is held in Rock Hall at the Rock Hall Fire House. Here you will find demonstrations and displays by the area’s top marine tradesmen. There is also entertainment, outdoor activities, lodging, arts, dining and more. The Wine Expo is an annual afternoon of wine, hors ‘d oeuvres and features 35 different wine companies. The event is held in Bel Air at the Harford Community College Susquehanna Center. In Ocean City you will find the Eastern Shore’s largest boat show. The Seaside Boat Show features boats, accessories, clothing, arts, crafts and more. Held at the Ocean City Convention Center.
