The 7th i. e. the concluding day is termed as Hoshanah Rabbah.

Hanukkah – Hanukkah is a festival to be celebrated with lights in Jew custom. It denotes the defeat of Seleucid Empire which was fighting against Judaism. This is a festival for eight days when lights are kindled in a style of one on the 1st nightfall, two on the second, 3 on the third, and so on. A specific candle-holder is utilized for this festival. Tu Bishvat – This festival is the new year for the trees. It is observed by having fruits and nuts linked with the land of Israel. Trees are planted traditionally on this festival. Children raise funds for planting trees. The trees are actually to be planted in the land of Israel, but they are planted in the area too where people are located.

Purim – This festival commemorates the occasion told in the Book of Esther. The story of Esther is read out or presented through a play. Depreciating noises are given on the name of Haman. Customarily costumes and masquerades are put on and Mishloakh Manot which means gifts of drinks as well as food are donated to poor people.

Passover – This is the most sacred period for some particular Jew men and women. Pesach or Passover remembers the freedom of the Israelite bondsmen from the captivity of Egypt. This is held for seven days during which having raised dishes are prohibited as there was no sufficient time left for the captives to raise their bread.
