Spring/Summer 2019 Collection
Acne Studios recently showcased its Spring/Summer 2019 collection in Paris. A wide variety of products were showcased during the event including futuristic sneakers, fun accessories, bold eyewear, and ballet-inspired looks. The Stockholm-based fashion brand used sheer materials and earthy color palette to create a dreamy line-up. Acne Studios’ 2019 line-up features staple pieces such as track pants, knitwear, and hoodies. The standout items include striped rugby shirts, reversible jackets, and graphic sweatshirts that reflect the family-themed lookbook.
Following are some of the highlights of Spring/Summer 2019 Collection that was showcased in Paris recently:
For this season, Acne Studios used lilac as its go-to color. However, sharp orange and luminous green were also widely used. Both of these colors were seen in outerwear, knitwear, suiting, and accented throughout the collection. Lilac color was brilliantly paired with the sharp orange in order to provide a visually pleasing contrast. This color pairing was seen in knitwear, boxy tees, oversized hoodies, and on accents and accessories.
The Belted Trouser
The “side hip-tied trouser” is definitely the standout in Acne’s 2019 line-up. On closer inspection, its one side offers one loop which the tie feeds through to fasten on the side while the other half of the waistband has no belt loops. The exact construction of the product will be confirmed when you get your hands on it. But one thing is for sure; the belted trouser is definitely one of the favorite styles in the 2019 line-up of Acne Studios. It is worth noting that this trouser was used on the slouchier silhouettes during the event. The tapered bottoms feature a more recognizable waistband construction.
If you look at the Autumn/Winter 2018 collection of Acne Studios, you will come to realize that a very recognizable curved stripe knitwear product was showcased. It featured a funnel neck dotted across the collection. The product and its overall design was so good that it was quite clear that that style will cross over into Acne’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection. Although it did, this time the brand decided to ditch the stipes and play around with proportion. This repetition in style suggests that it will be around for the next season as well, with probable iterations and tweaks down the line.
