The other day I had a young woman who wanted a Toe Ring. I asked her if she knew her size? Size 3 she said, so I gave her a size 3 and went into explaining the continuous Toe Ring sizing, Never having worn a continous band toe ring before it wasn't surprising when she realized her toes were bigger than she thought.
Grabbing the next size she put the toe ring on, Well, yes, it did fit, but, once she got her foot wet, you guessed it, the ring came off. She called me the next day complaining that the ring has come off. I had to smile to myself and begin the explanation of proper sizing in a more slower and a more explanatory fashion.
Continuous Toe Rings are just like your fingers, you wouldn't put on a size 8 if you wore a size 7, it would fall off. By properly measuring with a tape below the knuckle “or joint" you will get a more accurate size. Yes, it will be snug getting the ring to fit over the knuckle, but that's what it takes. A little baby oil or hand lotion and moving the ring side to side until it moves over the joint. NOW, you have a proper fit.
Your ring will stay in place forever, without rolling or turning. IT'S THERE FOR GOOD. Unless you use the same process to remove it.
She was amazed, and than decided she was in to much of a hurry and had taken size for granted. Another satisfied customer. She bought 3 more rings for the summer to go with different outfits. We just can never have to many.
