Change Your Life By Choosing New Thoughts

Everyone has their own unique life experience. That experience is essentially a series of thoughts, actions, events, and perceptions. A big part of that experience is our judgments about whether we are having a “good" experience or a “bad" one. Judgments are, of course, thoughts; and so are prayers wishes, hopes, and dreams. It doesn't matter if you are thinking about what you don't want (judgment, fears, etc. . . ), or what you do want (prayers, wishes, dreams. . . ); you - and your experience - are the result of your thoughts. If you change the radio station you are listening to because you don't like the song they're playing, you can find a different song to listen to - one that makes you “feel good. " Likewise, if you choose new thoughts, you will experience changes in your life. Even if you have to change “channels" several times to find something that suits you, change is certain.

In other words, what you are doing with your mind - your thoughts and judgments - are not only driving your actions and creating or attracting your experience; they are also shaping your reality by coloring your perception of your own experience. If you think, or believe, a certain experience is “bad, " and you find yourself doing that thing, then you'll believe you're having a “bad" experience - no matter how fun, pleasurable, or enlightening the experience may be. As they say, “It's the thought that counts!"

In order to create the life you want to create, you must release your judgments and other limiting or negative thoughts; they have nothing to do with your “success. " It doesn't matter what anyone else is doing with their thoughts, energy, and time; all that matters is what you are doing with yours. You can't make the world a better place spending your time worrying about what everyone else is doing; but you can make the world a better place by learning to be a better you. From one minute to the next, we are making choices that influence or direct the next moments of our life experience - choices of what thoughts to think. It is the thoughts we choose that guide our actions and experience. We can make better and better choices; and, as we do so, we can begin having a more positive influence on the world around us - and a tangibly better and better experience of that world.

You can make choices, in other words, that help you get the things you want in life, or choices that bring you something else; but the choice is always yours. The choice is a matter of how you are thinking; and that is a matter of how much you know about thinking, thought, thought processes, and the mind. But, fortunately for you and I, we don't have to learn all of those things; we only need to start paying attention to our thoughts and thinking more positively about what we want - and less about what we don't want. Many, many wise men have studied these things; and, they all agree that the Secret to life in this Universe is simply this: “You are formed and molded by your thoughts. " Or, in other words, “Thoughts are things. " So think only about what you want; and “don't worry, be happy. " And, if you want to change your life, just change what you spend your time thinking about - and watch what happens.
