Following Your Heart Still the Best Idea

In business seminars, I often discuss the importance of following your heart as being tantamount to success in business. The reason is obvious. If you are doing what you love and loving what you do, you will have more energy and focus in accomplishing your goals and being successful. Whether you are male or female, young or old, your motivation will reflect that which you value most because that's what's in your heart. Can you see how you must discover what motivates you? It's the most important secret to achieving success in any business venture. Only then will you set and achieve worthwhile goals toward your desired end. Consider this example:

"Albert Gray was a highly motivated insurance salesman. He made a brilliant observation about motivation in a career. According to Gray, only one thing separated successful wage earners in America from mediocre producers. He said, ‘The secret of the successful is that they have formed the habit of doing things that the unsuccessful aren't willing to do. '

Albert Gray was right. In business (and in life) doing the right things, the right way at the right time makes a person successful. It's not about luck; it's about doing what's in your heart. Discovering the motivation that pushes each of us to do the right thing at the right time may be our most important challenge. "

It sounds so simple but doing what you love is the critical path that can lead you toward financial success because then you will form the habits that will make you successful. If you don't love what you're doing right now (career wise), change it! After all, insanity is. . . well you know what insanity is, don't you?
