Barbecues may seem like simply a unique method of eating outdoors but they are far far more than this.

Just question any of the participants that enter the bbq challenges all over the world.

And once you’ve understand how the serious barbecuers do it, perhaps you’ll desire to enter one of the competitions yourself?

Or at least hold a contest with your buddies in your back garden.

The World Championship, Memphis

Ballots could be cast by way of secret poll, by score sheets or by shouting out, or even through taste tests - judging the actual most delicious before finding out which team cooked it
