An Introduction to Tarot Cards

Tarot cards are used in several European countries in card games but Westerners are now more familiar with their usage in divination. Some occultists even go as far as to say it was an abstract code developed by Kabbalah masters to embody their thoughts and ideas, in an allegorical format.

Tarot cards have been used for centuries to foretell how a person’s life will turn out or how a certain event will come to pass in the future. Now more than ever, the tarot is being used as a divination tool for psychic readings.

During readings, tarot cards assist a tarot card reader in helping individuals to see patterns in their lives, explore their psyches, and gain spiritual insight. And while Tarot cards always return relevant results, they are still only as good as the reader interpreting tarot card meanings.

The way the cards are laid out (also called a “spread") has an impact on what the reader will be able to deduce about the problem or question at hand. The most common is the Celtic Cross, a pattern that involves ten cards total- five arranged in a cross, four forming a vertical line to the right of the cross and the last laying horizontally over the center card of the cross. The bottom center card represents what is at the core of the problem/question. The Tarot card on top of the center represents what is acting as an obstacle to satisfaction of the problem/question.

Tarot card readings are not as complicated as they seem to be, however they are not that simple either. You need a tarot card reader to do the readings but if one is well versed with the tarot card meanings than he/she can make predictions using the tarot cards. Tarot cards are a deck of 78 different cards with a range of images that convey the messages. One must need to remember the meanings of these cards, keep a track of all the diverse interpretations and also remember which meaning to interpret during a particular session of the reading.

Tarot card readings can be used for the betterment of your love life, making financial decisions in your business, getting a positive attitude towards life, motivating one to lead a happy life by diminishing the worries of an individual.
