Be Conscious of Your New Nature in Christ

Visitors: 199

There fore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

A child born and raised amongst monkeys may grow up to behave like a monkey, but he'll always have the nature of a human person. The child may go without clothes, climb trees, and feed on bananas like a monkey because that's what he's been trained to do. However, the moment he discovers his true identity, it will dawn on him that he doesn't belong to the family of monkeys. He'll then begin to lead a new lifestyle because he is awakened to the reality of his true nature. This is how a Christian progressively manifests the nature of God.

Man ought to grow spiritually, and as he does, the fruit of he spirit becomes increasingly manifest in his life. Being born against, you're completely regenerated. Your human life is supplanted with the life and nature of God. However, you may still find yourself living like an ordinary person when you're not fully conscious of your new nature in Christ.

When you're conscious of your new nature in Christ it will be impossible for you to fail or be defeated in life. You won't find yourself walking in sin when you know that the nature in you is God's nature of righteousness.

Get to know who you are; you've been born anew, after the image of Him that created you. Thus, you can do anything you set your heart to do. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. The recreated human spirit is designed to make progress. You don't have to struggle to excel since you already have all that it takes; just do excellent things!

When you're conscious of your new nature in Christ, you'll walk in God's gifts and power, and you'll move in His glory.
