Little Voice Distractions

Visitors: 263

Do you realize you ask yourself questions all day long? Ever hear yourself say things like, “What was I thinking when I . . . " or “You know you can't do something like that, don't you?" or “What makes you think you are good enough to ask her out?"

You know what I mean-the kind of questions that put you down, keep you in place, and prevent you from taking risks. Those questions pour out non-stop from the Little Voice inside your head. In fact, you converse with that voice all day long.

Think you don't have a Little Voice? Once it has become habit, you do not even realize it is happening. You are living on automatic, just following that Little Voice.

You actually spend so much time listening to the Little Voice tell you ABOUT every person and every thing in your world that you fail to simply evaluate anything for yourself. You listen to the Little Voice more closely than you pay attention to actually reading this article-and forming your own opinions.

For instance, right now your Little Voice is telling you about this article as you read it. It may say it agrees with certain facts and may tell you some of these concepts are ludicrous!

Well, when you choose to live consciously and get unstuck from the doldrums in your life, then you find yourself composing questions consciously. You compose questions that move your life forward like, “How can I be even more compassionate in my life?" or “How can I be even more creative in my work?" You ask questions that let you know you already do things well and do those same things even better by learning more.

The quality of the questions you ask yourself determines the quality of the life you lead.

The bottom line is only you can change your life. . . when you are ready to do so. Change comes from within. Knowing the programs running your subconscious mind allows you to override what does not work and replace it with programs that do work.
