We see it every day. People who want to lose a few pounds, but don't want to make the lifestyle changes to do it. People who “sort of" want a result, but aren't really invested in making it happen
As you set goals for yourself and seek changes in your life, ask yourself how invested are you in getting your result? Usually, it comes down to your answer to the question of “What are you willing to DO to get your result?"
This issue is about your commitment. How committed are you to getting the goal you say you want? If you REALLY want it, won't you commit all or most of your resources to get it? If not, you may not have what it takes to make your outcome a reality.
To turn a dream into a reality requires commitment and action. You must be willing to put your energy, time and money into getting your outcome. Are you willing to do WHATEVER it takes to make your dream come true, as long as it is legal and ethical? If you choose not to, that's fine. Just recognize that it wasn't something you REALLY wanted.
Ultimately, our lives are about the choices we make. Only you are able to make the decision about what you are willing to invest to get the outcome to your goal.
Be aware that you have the capability to make your life any way you want it to be. The resources and methods are out there. If you don't know how, there are plenty of teachers, coaches and consultants who do.
The question is “What are you willing to do, go through, invest, and spend to reach your goal?" Getting your outcome requires an investment on your part. Sometimes it is an investment of energy, sometimes time, sometimes money. Sometimes it takes all three. No matter what, it always takes an investment of something to get a return.
Why is this so important? In order to be strong enough to get to your outcome, you need to know that you won't give up at the first obstacle. Because there will be obstacles. Life's like that.
Do you believe in yourself enough to give everything you've got to your goal? Otherwise, don't kid yourself. Unless you are willing to do what it takes, you're not likely to succeed. Before you even set your goal, look honestly at how much energy, time and money you are willing to invest in getting results.
More than anything else, I believe, it really requires an investment of faith in yourself and your dream. If you aren't willing to invest in yourself and your dream, why should anyone else? The key is figuring out what YOU are willing to invest, because everything else follows from that.
