We know that there are many business coaches out there in the marketplace. Some of those coaches are poor, some are adequate, some are good, some are great. But what sets the peak performing business coach, or what I call the MVP (Most Valued Professional) Business Coach, apart from the rest of the business coaches? From my personal research and experiences, I believe that these MVP business coaches possess a top ten set of traits that really distinguishes them from the average business coach. In my opinion, the top ten traits of a MVP Business Coach are:

Trait #2: a strategic thinker

Trait #3: high ethical standards

Trait #4: a commitment to continuous self-improvement

Trait # 5: an excellent listener and “hearer"

Trait #6: an ability to balance their work and personal lives

Trait #7: an ability to clearly focus on clients and their goals

Trait #8: an ability to be a visionary and to see the larger perspective

Trait # 9: a confidence in delivering their professional service

Trait #10: an ability to be positive, persistent and passionate

When searching for a business coach, I recommend that you seek out one that possesses and exhibits the above traits or at least a majority of these traits.
