When you subscribe to the philosophy that your words bring your reality and therefore you should be careful with what you say as well as with what you think, the word “affirmations" become a constant companion in your life.

The reason for this is twofold. First because it puts many things in your mind: a desire, a truth, a pray, a request, etc. When you make an affirmation, you are telling the universe that indeed there is hope for your life and you expect miracles to happen to you, and that will raise your vibrations.

This, in turn have a tremendous effect in your life for, by raising you vibrations in the present, it will allow you to be open to receive your good in the future, making your life a most blessed one.

For example: “The Ocean of Life is lavish with abundance. All my needs and desires are met before I even ask. My good comes from everywhere, everyone and everything. "

This is indeed a great affirmation because it states a fact: “the world is lavish with abundance;" it expresses a desire: “all my needs are met before I even ask;" and it voices an expectation: “my good comes from everywhere, everyone, and everything. "

The nice thing about this affirmation is that you can divide it in segments and get not only one but three different auspicious ones.

Now, it is not difficult to feel good when you repeat this affirmation, unless you know for a fact that its statement is all rubbish and that you will definitely never, ever receive such blessings. Now, if this is not negative thinking, I don’t know what is.

So you think you are a hopeless case because your negative thoughts control you and you are doomed to live in misery for the rest of your days because if you can’t think good, the good won’t come to you. That is not so!

Have you heard of “fake it till you make it?" Well, put it to practice. The mind is miraculous and when you least expect, you have conquered the negativity. Life will start anew.

What brings me to the second reason why affirmations are one of the best tools to change one’s life. Have your realized that while you are thinking about (or saying aloud) one thing, you can think of nothing else? There: our thoughts have not the power of ubiquity. Good word, meaning: two thoughts cannot occupy the same space.

When you are saying your affirmation, you are not thinking negatively. That is all there is to it.

Still, some people have a hard time with saying affirmations. For them, and perhaps even for those whose affirmations are working just fine, thank you, you already guessed it, the greatest and best affirmation there is and there will be until someone else invents another super great word is Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
