Wedding Cake Icing

Visitors: 199

The soft cream with your favorite color and fruits sitting on a spongy base sounds so yummy. Yes, indeed we are talking about the icing of the cake and when it comes to wedding cake icing, it becomes yummier. A cake being one of the most significant parts of the wedding has to be the best. The cake has to look best but many people are worried about the cost of the cake, the flavor of the cake etc. Frosting actually affects most of these aspects of the cake. Icing will affect the cost and the flavor of the cake. Following are the four aspects to consider which will help you in terms of creativity, look and flavor for your cake.

Use Fondant

One of the icing specialists, fondant has been on the wedding cake market for some time. Fondant is used by many people for their cakes to give them a fresh and advance look. The fondant icing is edible, and will stylize the complete outlook of your cake that it needs.

Flavor the icing

Flavor with icing has to be considered. Most of the people will stick to the common flavors found in icings. But if you want to try something new, experiment the flavors with these icings, with new frostings.

Use interesting colors

Many may stick with the basic white color for the frosting. One of the simplest and easiest ways to be creative with wedding cakes is to diverge from this tradition. If so, try colored frosting to give your cake a more exclusive feel.

Play with the cake type

The traditional wedding cakes generally stick to plain flavors to make sure that all of their guests can find a flavor that they will enjoy. The design to get a unique cake is to play with the kind of cake that you have planned for your wedding cake. Try diverse flavors for different cake layers. Use new and appealing flavors that you may not regularly consider. Then mix it and apply frosting flavor to play off of the cake flavor. This combination will give your wedding cake a distinctive taste.

There are several options available to make a unique choice for the icing. Mostly people choose to go with the usual butter cream icing or royal icing. Many people don’t understand the fun of mixing and experimenting with flavors and colors. So, take the call and take a risk for your cake by creating a stand out piece of taste.
