You are beginning to plan your wedding and now it's time to figure out who you will ask to be in your wedding party, including your Maid of Honor, Best Man, Bridesmaids and Groomsmen. Do you keep it all in the family or do you include your closest friends?
Making the decision of Who to Include
Part of your decision will be made by the size of your budget but there may be people you just really want to include. When making your decision for the bridal party, keep in mind the roll of the Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids. They are there to help you with your wedding plans and of course, plan your bridal shower. The Best Man and Groomsmen are there to plan the bachelor party, keep track of the rings and to seat the guests during the wedding ceremony. You will want to choose people that will listen to you, be helpful during the planning process and plan things in line with what you want.
Of course, unless you have an unlimited budget, not everyone will be able to be included in the wedding party itself. And there are probably people who you want to include somehow but not in the wedding party. There are many other jobs you can delegate that will help you and make those that can't be in the wedding party still feel included. You can ask them to help with things like making wedding favors or help address or put stamps on the invitations, plan activities for the kids at the reception, assign someone to make sure there are tissues available at the wedding and disposable cameras on each table for the reception. The list could go on and on. The important thing is to make sure to include those that you want to feel included. And if you can't think of enough things for them to do, ask someone to help make a list for your approval.
