Dealing with a loss of intimacy in marriage is never an easy thing. When your husband doesn't have the same interest in lovemaking that he once did it can leave you feeling frustrated and rejected. You'll also more than likely start questioning his fidelity. It's natural to do that but the fact of the matter is that most men aren't cheating on their wives when the marriage becomes sexless. If you are a woman married to a man who has lost his libido, don't give up hope. There are things you can do to bring the passion back into your relationship.

One incorrect conclusion that many women make when there is a loss of intimacy in marriage is that it's because of them. They may have put on a little weight since their wedding or they have developed a few wrinkles as the years have passed. Your husband hasn't stopped making love because of these things. In fact, most men lose their interest in sex because of some outside stress. If your husband is struggling with a work or familial issue that is causing him to experience a lot of tension, that just may be the culprit. If you believe it is, now is the time to do whatever you can to help him. Offer an ear to listen to him talk or suggest ways he can relieve some of that stress. You may find once that tension dissolves, he'll be more interested in intimacy again.

Body image is just as important to many men as it is to women. If your appearance has changed since the wedding, chances are that your husband's has too. He may simply feel self conscious about making love with you because of the way he looks. You can usually tell if this is the reason for loss of intimacy in marriage if your husband often comments on how heavy he is and how he needs to start watching his weight. If that's the case make a committed effort to eat healthier with him and also develop an exercise routine you can share together. This will help you both get in shape while at the same time you'll develop a close bond again. As the pounds drop he'll likely become much more interested in intimacy again.

Specific things you say and do can encourage natural responses within your husband that make him crave to be intimate with you. Saying or doing the wrong thing will only worsen the problem and can lead to your husband feeling emotionally detached from you.
