Sure are a lot of people internet friend finding these days. . . whew!
Remember just a few years ago when finding someone from the past meant digging through the attic or the garage to find the old yearbook or the very first address book you ever kept? The one with the “Best Address Book" written on it?
Remember the hassle of all those calls that were made to people who ‘might’ have been the right Bill Ryan? The calls to all the people who could have been “Dorothy Miller?" All those attempts to call “Rachel Meyers" in Florida that went absolutely no where. . . except larger phone bills?
Those days are gone.
Internet friend finding has come roaring into the online fray with the same vengeance as video and VOIP. . .because there is more and more of a need for more humanity on the net.
A decidedly cold place, more and more of us want the net and wish it to be more humane.
To have more of a real face and a real fingerprint.
Finding people online can be a great rush, too. Tracking down guys from the Track Team or gals from your first wine/book club is a lot of fun. In fact, we notice that many people really get into it and see just how far their “digging" efforts can take them.
I recently found myself immersed in the entire internet friend finding thing not too long ago when I wanted to find a professor from Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA which is where I went to school.
This particular professor was my first “A. " My first real homerun grade wise after I arrived there.
I found him through a few click of the mouse through the very same internet friend finding search engine that you are about to.
PS. He still claims that it was a B . But I know better.
