How do you stop a break up? When two people have gotten to the point in their relationship that all they do is pick and argue over everything that used to didn't matter, they forget the “I love you's" before going to sleep, and they spend more time apart than together, you can bet they are on the way to a break up. These are just a few signs to look for. Keep your eyes open for these signs and others to have a chance in stopping you and yours from breaking up.
Most couples fall into a comfortable groove together after the hottest part of the physical attraction is over and the enduring emotional parts of the relationship have begun. This is time where most people fail in a relationship because this part will tell you if it is love or lust after all that kept you with person for as long as it's been. If you are in a relationship that is built on lust alone, there may be things in the other person's personality that will bother you later on, when the emotional part of things get rolling and all the physical attractions have cooled down to an almost level of boredom.
When one or the other in a relationship begins to spend more time alone or with friends than with their partner, that is a sign that the person is getting bored or bothered with their partner. True, the beginning of a relationship is always an exaggeration of what the real thing is going to be like, but when someone starts making excuses to spend time away from the other person on purpose and starts to make a habit of it, this is a red light warning that there is something or someone that person is trying to avoid. Call to your partner's attention that you have noticed this time factor like this, and work together to avoid this causing a break up.
There are little things that each person does who is in a relationship that are unique for that person. Things like pet names for another is an example. If your partner always calls you by your pet name and suddenly you start hearing your real name instead, ask why. You may be surprised to find out there was something bothering your partner about you. Mind subtle signs like this to avoid and stop a break up.
Getting the silent treatment comes in a few different levels. At times, you may be getting a dose of silent treatment and not even be aware that your partner is ignoring you. There lies the whole problem with the silent treatment. Different people have different levels of silence when they are to the point of not communicating how they feel. You should be aware of your partner's level. If their silent treatment goes on long enough, the problem should be obvious that you don't pay attention to that person like you should. Be responsible in your relationship, do your part and things will go a little smoother.
