Tips to Save Your Relationship

Visitors: 208

If you think about it, if you meet the person you will spend the rest of your life with before 30 years of age. You most likely will live with them twice as long as you lived at home with your parents.

It would be unrealistic to think that you will spend so much time with someone else and never have some conflict from time to time. Unfortunately one of you may decide to leave the relationship because of this occasional conflict.

So how do you save a relationship that seems to be saying danger ahead?

The first thing you have to do is decide why you're fighting. Are you mad with your mate because they did something that made you mad or are you having a bad day? Did they do or say something that triggered something from the past? These are things you have to communicate with your mate. Perhaps you just need time to yourself. There are so many causes of an argument, but make sure your mate is the cause and not some under lying factor that has nothing to do with them. They are just the target.

You are together on a daily basis, sometimes we don't realize how we take our daily frustrations out on our loved one. We take for granted they will understand.

This taking them for granted can led to a lot of problems. If you had a bad day you should let your mate know. Remember they are your support system. Remember don't get so caught up in your own feelings that you forget your mate's feeling. Are they having a bad day?

Remember, If you want your mate to really listen to you then you must speak calmly. People tend to close up and not hear when they hear hollering.

Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that no two people will always agree. Sometimes it's best to agree to disagree.

Always show your baby that you love them. Don't be afraid to write a quick love note and leave it under their pillow. Leave a note on the car windshield, in their briefcase or lunch bag.

All relationships can be juiced up. Don't let your relationship get stale and you won't have to ask, how do I save this relationship?
