There are so many different ideas for a science fair project that it can be hard to choose just one! To begin, you need to think of a topic that interests you. You can start by looking at some of the different categories for science fair projects. There are many to choose from, such as astronomy, zoology, chemistry, earth science, engineering, environmental science, microbiology, physical science and mathematics.
Determining which area you would like to experiment on will fully depend on what interests you the most. Perhaps zoology is what you would like, because you are interested in animals, or astronomy because the stars in the heavens fascinate you; whatever you choose, there is the potential for an amazing science experiment that will entice spectators and good judgments.
Once you have chosen a category that you like, think of a topic within that category that interests you.
This means that you need to narrow your interest down to a simple question for your experiment. When you have thought of your question, you will then have to start thinking about how you are going to answer it. First, you will have to write down your hypothesis, which is what you think the answer to your question might be.
The fun part comes next, which is either to prove or disprove your hypothesis. Depending on the experiment you are running, it could take some time before you reach a conclusion, so patience is important to remember. Remember to record all your findings and good luck!
