CBSE Results - More Than Just Academic Evaluation

CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education is the central body to conduct the secondary and senior secondary school examinations in India. There are more than 5000 schools affiliated to CBSE in India and abroad. CBSE also prepares syllabus for the schools affiliated to it. Is has earned a distinguished credit for providing common education to the Indian land of diverse culture and heritage. The most admired feature of the CBSE has been to introduce the courses that are relevant and go in sync with the advancement of the time. Presently, the students who have taken the exams for various classes and courses are waiting for the announcement of the CBSE results 2008. The result for Class X and XII are expected to be announced in the last week of May.

CBSE is the government agency that takes care of other important exams also like Pre Medical Test (PMT), Pre Dental Test (PDT), All India Engineering Entrance Test (AIEEE), All India Pharmacy Entrance Test (AIPEE) and All India Architecture Entrance Test (AIAEE). For PMT and PDT, the exams have have been held on 6th April 2008 and results have also been declared for the preliminary exam on 15th April. The exams for AIE/P/AEE have also held on 27 April 2008 and the students are eagerly waiting for the announcement of CBSE results which are due in the first week of June.

As the dates for result announcement is drawing near, students are witnessing more sweaty palms. Not only the students but their parents are also going through the same situation. In India, the results of CBSE exams are very important. Not only the entire future of the student will depend on the marks obtained in these exams but they also will make a social identity of the student. Board exam results prove boon to some but at the same time they are curse to some. This is the only evaluation system in the world which echoes in social circuits too.
