All you have to do is write down five quick bullet points on each SWOT heading about each company. It should take no longer that an hour to focus about each of the companies, but it demonstrates a superb amount of personal preparation and keenness for the chosen career path.
3)Industry Trends: The MBA GD panel is sure to grill you on what the future is about the industry and how you would fit in with your current qualifications and strengths. This is where the SWOT analysis comes in handy as you can talk about the Unique Selling proposition that these companies have and how well they are geared towards meeting future challenges.
While these tips do seem exhaustive and not feasible, please of remember that it is really the level of preparedness that you show that shows how interested you are in your chosen career. Simply stating that you would like to go into Finance because you are good at maths does not cut ice with the IIM interview panel.
