WWE Judgment Day is an annual professional wrestling event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. It was first held in October 1998 as an In Your House event. It replaced Over the Edge after the 1999 event, which saw the death of Owen Hart. In 2000, WWE Judgment Day became the annual May event which followed Backlash. From 2004 to 2006, the event was exclusive to the SmackDown brand.
This year, WWE Judgment Day is set to be held on May 18, 2008 at the Qwest Center Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska and will feature talents from the Raw, SmackDown, and ECW brands.
The highlighted feud heading into the event is between Triple H and Randy Orton, with the two feuding over the WWE Championship. At the previous event, Backlash, Triple H eliminated Randy Orton in a Fatal Four-Way Elimination match which also involves John Cena and John “Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL). As a result, he won the WWE Championship. On the following night on Raw, General Manager William Regal stopped a title match between Orton and Triple H, and booked the two in a Steel Cage match for the WWE Championship at J-Day. It is going to be an exciting event and I will be sure not to miss it.
