An apartment manager has certain roles and duties that they must abide by. These include handling all the maintenance requests for the tenants, showing the property to prospective renters, managing the lease contracts for all the renters, and much more. Read on to discover what the apartment manager of the community can and cannot do. You have certain rights that you should be aware of.

The Apartment Managers Role

Some owners of apartment communities understand that the apartment manager is the main representative of the community as this is an important “amenity” that should not be overlooked. After all, the manager will have to deal with the myriad of issues that renters have today. Most owners want a friendly apartment community manager that is easy to approach and can solve problems quickly.

Other apartment managers’ job is simply to keep the units full and rented. Establishing positive relations hips is not their main priority. Some apartment communities are so large that there are various employees that will help renters through all the steps of leasing an apartment. But it’s always important to maintain a courteous relationship with the manager.

The Apartment Manager (What They Can and Cannot Do)

The apartment manager cannot enter your apartment home without giving notice. However, if its an emergency this would create an exception. There are various state laws the manager must follow when it comes down to notifying you of unpaid rent or changes to your Houston Midtown apts lease.

When you leave your apartment community, your new apartment manager may want to get a reference from your former manager. So be sure and leave on good terms. This means paying your rent on time throughout the lease. Not causing any problems. Also leaving your apartment home in clean condition is a bonus. All of these will keep you on good terms with your apartment manager.
