Heavy rain in July flooded Bangalore as several lakes overflowed which brought the electronic city to a standstill. The situation showed how unplanned expansion can take a toll on a well planned city. Haphazard growth of the city and huge demand of residential and commercial spaces are to be blamed for the situation. As the city expanded there was huge demand for Bangalore North property for sale, in both commercial as well as residential sectors.

As a result several lakes and lake beds were encroached to build 3 BHK flats for sale in Bangalore North. However no such thing was brought to notice to the end-users when they went to buy 3 BHK apartments in Bangalore North.

Overnight flooding of the low-lying woke up the civic body officials who found out that encroachment of the storm water drains which connected the major lakes of Bangalore led to the water-logging.

This caused BBMP to launch a demolition drive against all illegal properties in the city. Several Bangalore North property for sale were brought down during the unannounced drive. The owners of 3 BHK apartments in Bangalore North were gripped by panic. Many buyers felt that soon their 3 BHK flats in Bangalore North will be demolished and they will not have a roof on their head.

Many people are questioning the fact that how the BBMP is able to identify encroachments? How will the civic authority identify whether the Bangalore North property is built on storm water drain or not? The civic authority states that the department had conducted several surveys on which the drive is taking place. According to a survey 340 km have been encroached out of 840 kms network of storm water drain.

But people are questioning that when the 3 BHK flats for sale in Bangalore North of individual builders and owners have been demolished why a re-survey is being ordered for commercial structure. The civic authorities state that re-survey has been ordered to make sure that these complexes do indeed encroach the storm water drains. But the owners and small builders whose 3 BHK apartments for sale in Bangalore North have been demolished are not satisfied with the answer.

They are also asking why a re-survey was not ordered for them and why a lifeline is being offered to famous malls, tech parks and huge layouts. It seems that the law is not the same for everyone in Bangalore.
