Well any flexible metal forming technique can result is an art work. It depends upon the creativity of the fabricator to design and develop building components that appeal to the visitors. Well purely art work can also be designed and it could have tremendous appeal and commercial value if creativity excels.

Metal objects have always been used as artwork by sculptures and artists of repute. These are used to decorate houses as well as gardens. Many institutes and public galleries have such works displayed on permanent basis and if their logo is created using metal than nothing better.

Metal fabrication has also been used to created components for cars, machinery and motorcycles. This is nothing new and is very popular in countries like the United States. The process involved is the same as craftsmen may be involved. Even building components like staircase, ladders, roofs, gates, windows and doors can be accorded artistic touch using creativity. Who does not wish for a beautifully designed gate or windows in his house or office? In fact there is greater demand for designer fabrication components in commercial sector.

Beautifully designed cabins or stairs leading up to the office is much in demand. Such initiative taken by fab shops can really create appealing components and enhance demand. Not only iron a wide variety of metals like different alloys of steel, aluminum, brass and bronze can be used to create finished building components. The technical ability and the cost are the limiting factor. Choosing the right metal and proper cost effective fabrication is essential for developing a stable building component.

Fabrication involves number of process like designing, shaping, cutting, shearing, welding and finishing. The fab shops should be well equipped to accomplish the tasks. Whence designer fabrication is involved innovation and creativity are two essential traits the industry should possess. The process starts from design face to shop drawings to enable fabrication of desired components. It requires collaboration of designers, fabricators and installers or an amalgamation of all in one fabrication unit. Most of the professional fabrication shops can produce well designed buildings components on their own. The industry is wide spread all over the world but the designer fabrication units are limited.
