Could you afford a beachfront property for your retirement? What if that beachfront property cost you only $65,000 USD? In the Campeche real estate area in Mexico, there are some ideal options for this price.

The state of Campeche is on the Yucatan Peninsula, near Merida, across the Peninsula from Cancun and Playa del Carmen. The capital of this state is a beautiful colonial city, also called Campeche. Recently, the city's historic center, which is surrounded by fort walls that were originally built to protect against pirates from the Caribbean, was entirely restored, with underground wiring, and repainted, and redecorated facades. This city is directly on the waterfront, and offer the romantic view of fishermen heading out to sea every morning.

While quaint, colonial homes, ideal for fixer-upper projects can be found for very low prices, about 45 minutes south along the shoreline a strip of virgin beachfront begins; here there is one development of cheap Mexico beachfront lots, with 66 feet of beachfront, and a depth of about 1300 feet.

These lots also include an ideal space for building a few meters back from the beach. They also include access to building permits, and connections for water, electricity, phone and internet. Each lot has direct access to the federal highway to the city of Campeche. Behind the lots, there is large, natural lagoon, with lots of wildlife such as pelicans and dolphins, an ideal place for boating.

The area also provides access to modern services. There is a Walmart in the city. In a nearby village, about 10 minutes away in car, there is a new healthcare clinic. The city has modern a modern, private hospital.

There is also a small international airport. The larger airports of Merida and Cancun are 2 hours and 5 hours away respectively.

Between these beachfront lots and the city, there is a new development of condominiums, and with it a marina and golf course. Another golf course development is going in just on the other side of the city of Campeche.

The cost of building a high-quality home of about 1500 sq. ft. is about $100,000 USD more, and you will be enjoying a personalized dream home on the beachfront for your retirement. Another advantage is that as you save up more for your retirement property, you can start off with just the beachfront lot, and have the home built later on.

Perhaps most importantly, beachfront homes similar to these in the U. S. would only be accessible on a millionaire's budget; even on most places in Mexico, prices are closer around $800,000 USD, which is still a very good deal. Compare this to a price less than $175,000 that you'd be investing!; Mexico's Leading Network of Specialists for Finding and Purchasing Mexican Properties Safely
