Coco Beach and the adjacent residential community are just at the north end of downtown Playa del Carmen, within walking distance to the main tourist area. Owning a Playa del Carmen condos in this community is much more than just a property, it is a lifestyle; the following are some of the items which contribute the area's unique atmosphere.

1. Walking Distance to the Beachfront

The residential area offers condos anywhere from directly on the beach to about a 5 minute walk away. All residents will enjoy a short walk to one of the city's best beaches, which, in addition to being wide, and offering soft, white sand, it also has items such as jet ski rentals and oriental massages.

2. Walking distance to Fifth Avenue

Fifth Avenue is Playa del Carmen's main downtown street. It is a pedestrian street with many shops, restaurants and bars. Tall trees, benches, and elegant plazas make this street a pleasure to spend time on. Fifth Avenue runs directly past the Coco Beach community, and the area where all the action is begins about 10-15 minute walk way from most of the existing Playa del Carmen condo developments.

3. Shops and restaurants in the area

Besides the easy access to the central area of Fifth Avenue, there is a restaurant/bar on the beachfront, as well as new amenities beginning to appear along the stretch of Fifth running right by the community, less than a five minute walk away; the most recent addition is an Italian pizza shop.

4. Annual beachfront Jazz Festival

A very short walk along the beachfront is another beach called Mamitas Beach. This area hosts annual events, the most outstanding of which is the Riveria Maya Jazz Festival, held every November, right on the beachfront, with free admission to the public.

5. Quiet residential neighborhood

While enjoying the best of Playa del Carmen's downtown attractions only a short walk away, the residential neighborhood is quiet and with very little traffic. The condos and hotels in the are of elegant design, giving the community an upscale touch. This combination is ideal for many buyers, including retirees, families and also investors renting out to vacationers.

For buyers looking for a condo that is more than just a place to live, and really offers a lifestyle atmosphere, Coco Beach is an excellent option to consider.
