Thomas Lloyd

Visitors: 224

While Puerto Vallarta may be best known for its condos, it is actually also a top choice for Mexico homes. The ranges of possibilities within Puerto Vallarta homes is fairly large. The following are a few samples reflecting some of the possibilities.

1. An Inexpensive Home - $80,000 USD

4 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms

living space: 96 sq mt (1033 sq. ft. )

lot: 149 sq mt lot (1600 sq. ft. )

This 2 story home includes the kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom on the first floor. On the second level there are two bedrooms, a full bathroom, walk-in closet and a study with a terrace. There is a small front yard, a back patio, and one parking space. While it is a little farther from the action of downtown, this would be appealing for someone looking for a quieter location. The drive downtown or to the beach would be 10-15 min.

2. A High-end Luxury Home - $3,750,000 USD

5 Bedrooms

Lot: 513 sq mt (5500 sq. ft)

Living space: 672 sq mt (7200 sq. ft)

This home, directly on the beachfront, has it all. This is more than just a home, it is a custom designed estate on the beautiful south shore. An elegant blend of modern luxury and traditional Mexican elements, with a beautiful archway and hand-crafted, wooden door welcome, a foyer with a skylight and a wonderful fountain. The sound of the ocean can be heard in the home! There are panoramic views of the ocean. At the ocean side, there is an infinity pool with a swim up bar and Jacuzzi. Inside there is a commercial grade kitchen with solid wood cupboards, granite counter tops and a large island. Each bedroom is a complete suite with a “spa" bathroom. The list could go on. Few Mexico properties offer this kind of luxury, and back home it would cost you considerably more. So, if you have 4 million dollars . . .

3. Right in the Middle - $250,000

5 Bedrooms, 5 Bathrooms

Lot: 277 sq mt (3000 sq. ft. )

Living space: 250 sq mt (2700 sq. ft. )

If you don't have 4 million dollars, but you want to enjoy a few of life's luxuries, you are probably like most people looking around the $250,000 USD mark. This home is cozy, with three stories, a garage, and a picturesque front patio. There is also a living room, dining room, kitchen, rec. room on the first floor. 4 bedrooms are on the second floor, and the entire 3rd floor is the master bedroom with a walk-in closet. One bedroom has separate access, making rental income possible. There is a covered terrace with a complete bathroom, and views of the surrounding hills.

Of course, there options at all price ranges and different styles. Fixer-uppers are also available, sometimes for as low as half the price of the neighborhood's market value.
