Exploring Mexico real estate listings is an important first step to retirement on a warm beachfront; Mexico offers many excellent options, and Puerto Vallarta is certainly among the top of these. But what exactly does it mean to be a retiree in Puerto Vallarta? What will life be like?

First of all, you will be enjoying retirement in an ideal property, comfortable, convenient, and well designed. Puerto Vallarta real estate offers excellent retirement properties, on average around $300,000 USD. This would be a condo or a villa, which would include maintenance services for convenience. Many retirees choose condos to avoid the walking up and down stairs, but some also feel comfortable with a 2 or 3 storey villa. There are also suitable options in many price ranges; establish what your needs will be and work with an experienced agent to find the property right for these needs, within your budget.

Being a retiree in Puerto Vallarta also means you'll be joining about 15,000 other retirees from the U. S. and Canada; it is always nice to have company from back home to enjoy your activities with. On the other hand, Mexicans also greatly respect their elders whether from Mexico or from another country, and you will find a warm welcome from the locals.

While your days will be yours to relax and enjoy the beach, the sunshine an the warm culture, there are also many activities for retirement including world-class golf, marinas, excellent restaurants – ranging from traditional taco shops to international gourmet – art galleries, top-of-the-line shopping, clubs for cards or chess, dance classes, gardening, Spanish classes, yoga, gyms, organizations looking for volunteers who wish to contribute, a boardwalk and much more.

Services are also close at hand. World-class healthcare is usually about 15 minutes away from most retirement properties, and fast, private ambulance services are also available. There are two international airports in the Puerto Vallarta area, with direct flights taking 2-4 hours to most destinations within the U. S or Canada.

Puerto Vallarta is a romantic, relaxing and has one of the most beautiful beachfront areas to be found; it also combines this with a rich past of Mexican tradition, and the best of modern conveniences. Consider retirement in Puerto Vallarta – it's a balance of the best features for North American retirees like few other places offer.
